I love teaching music to students of all ages; it is especially rewarding to see a student grasp a new concept and then convert that concept to music. I am experienced in teaching piano, organ, guitar and all band instruments with a specialty in woodwinds. I bring over 30 years experience, teaching in settings ranging from private to small ensembles to large ensembles and ages from pre-school to senior citizen. In addition to traditional instruments, I have over 25 years experience in Handbells, including ringing and directing. I also participate in the brass ensemble at my church. My performing experience includes the orchestra for over 20 musicals, several community bands, and the Maple Grove Jazz Ensemble and Twin Cities Bronze Handbell Ensemble and Bells of the Lakes Handbell Choir. I have a BS in music education with a focus on instrumental music.
