Helping musicians young and old to build their skills and gain confidence in their playing has been my mission for many years. Whether you are a beginner who just wants to get the best start possible, are preparing for a college scholarship audition, need help with band music, or working on specific skills like rhythm, articulation, or vibrato, etc., I can help you achieve your goals.

I have a bachelors degree in music education and a masters degree in oboe performance as well as many years of symphony experience. Although oboe is my primary instrument I have been teaching flute, clarinet, saxophone, and bassoon, as well as oboe for over 30 years. My students on these instruments have received college scholarships, been accepted to All-State and honor bands, and earned top ratings at solo and ensemble contests.

I maintain a relaxed atmosphere in lessons and enjoy getting to know my students. Parents are always welcome to attend lessons.
