Sarah Curtiss Schumacher began teaching in 2013 and has a strong musical foundation in both flute and piano. She enjoys helping students grow in their musicianship and build confidence in their abilities. Sarah's students are consistently selected for honor ensembles across Minnesota—including All‐State and MBDA—and regularly earn placement in top school ensembles.
An active performer, Sarah holds the piccolo position with the Rochester Symphony Orchestra, performs as a substitute with the Mankato Symphony Orchestra, and is a member of the Minnesota Symphonic Winds. She earned her master's degree in flute performance from Bowling Green State University, where she served as the graduate flute teaching assistant, and her bachelor's degree in flute performance from the University of North Dakota. Her primary teachers include Lisa Bost-Sandberg, Jeffrey Zook, and Terri Sánchez.
Outside of music, Sarah enjoys spending time with her cat, Maple, being outdoors, and playing Stardew Valley.
