Jacob Woody is from Lake Park, MN, and has played trumpet since he was in the fifth grade. He started learning guitar at the age of 14. Mr. Woody graduated from Lake Park-Audubon High School in 2018. He then started his college career at Minnesota State Community and Technical College in Fergus Falls, MN where he obtained his Associate of Fine Arts degree in 2020. After graduating M-State he transferred to Minnesota State University Moorhead and graduated in 2023 with a Bachelor of Science in Music Education, where he successfully achieved his dream as being a first-generation college graduate. Jacob is now a full-time Educational Representative for Schmitt Music, where he is able to support a great number of music programs throughout Minnesota and North Dakota. He believes that music is essential in life, and the purpose of music is to have fun, and tell amazing stories. To him, music is a team effort where if we all give one hundred percent of effort, the music being produced will reflect that. Jacob Woody offers a warm, friendly environment for students to learn, as he believes that is key to being a successful musician. Jacob hopes to aid students in finding their voice on their preferred instrument as well as to enriching lives by helping people make music and supporting them on their musical journey!
