Halie Weaving started teaching in 2017 and has experience teaching in school and privately. She has a B.M. in Instrumental Music Education and a Minor in Psychology from Concordia College Moorhead. Halie has experience performing in Concert Bands, Jazz Ensembles, Orchestras, Flute Choirs, Harp Ensembles, Pit Orchestras, Percussion Ensembles, and African Drumming groups on instruments like harp, percussion, clarinet, saxophone, strings, and every member of the flute family ranging from piccolo to contrabass flute. She was also a band/orchestra/choir director for almost 6 years in the school system and had a previous private studio at Schmitt Music in Woodbury. Halie is passionate about new-age music, jazz, musicals, and world music. Halie has performed with community bands and theaters. When she is not performing or working in the SDC, she enjoys spending time with her dog Izzy, gaming, reading, and doing art projects.
