Mrs. Linda Conrad is in her 40th year as a Music Educator. Having taught both vocal and instrumental music within the Sioux Falls School District, Mrs. Conrad's students have ranged from elementary through high school. As a Choral Director, she assisted in founding and establishing a successful Vocal Music Program at Roosevelt High School in 1991. Following her time at Roosevelt High School, she taught Vocal Music at Lincoln High School for 14 years, where she served as Head Director from 2011 ‐ 2020 when she retired from the district.

In addition, Mrs. Conrad had a private studio for years and served in the capacity of church choir and brass director. She has chaired Festival of Bands and SD All‐State Chorus and Orchestra. Mrs. Conrad also served as a Repertoire and Standards Chair for SD for years. She is an active member and presenter for ACDA and SDMEA. Throughout her 40 years of teaching, her vocal and instrumental students and groups have performed throughout the community, at sporting events, state and regional conventions as well as participated in local, state, regional and national honor bands and choirs.

Since retiring in 2020, Mrs. Conrad continues to accompany, adjudicate, serve as a guest speaker and teacher, and conduct for Festivals and All‐States. She also serves on the Executive Board for South Dakota Senior Honor Choir.

In 2018, Mrs. Conrad was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award from the South Dakota American Choral Directors Association, and in 2016, she received an Exceptional Teaching Award from Stanford University.

Mrs. Conrad has completed extensive Postgraduate work at several universities, holds a Master of Science in Education and Leadership from Southwest Minnesota State University, and a Bachelor of Music Education from the University of Nebraska‐Lincoln.

Beyond Choral Music, Mrs. Conrad loves to travel, hike, bike, read and spend time with her family and six grandchildren.
